The Personal Growth Glow-up

So often we convince ourselves that being busy and overwhelmed is normal and expected of successful people. However, stress does not equal success. And in the era of social media comparison the ideal hyper-successful productive persona can be challenging to live up to.  After you’ve read the article consider sharing it or sparking a chat with a friend.

Personal growth is essential, but it’s also an individual experience that has to be discovered. Although we look toward others for clues to draw conclusions. Too often we encourage ourselves to modify our ideas about the ideal life. However, the ideal quality of life exists within your own personal identity. (Think of it this way) the people we grow to know are small reflections of the scope we live in. And although we are all connected, things change. Remember, survival is based on our ability to evolve. Therefore, we must adjust to change. As scary as that may seem, it does not have to be. Enjoy the process of self-discovery. Identify qualities about yourself that you recognize and utilize those strengths (cool skills) to make ripples in your everyday interactions with the world around you.

New opportunities require new experiences. Sometimes, the most meaningful experiences are the ones we create when getting to know ourselves on a more personal level. That means you may have to refocus your energy and rethink your expectations. No one will see your glow up if you don’t show up. Be bold and courageous. As you get prepared for greatness to extend opportunities your way keep your thoughts pure and your words positive. Anticipate new beginnings. Break old habits and challenge yourself to create a healthy self-image or evaluate your current journey; give yourself a huge hug and remind yourself that your doing great and can still improve (after all, consistency is a lifelong goal).
